born in brussels in 2026 by composer ben kaya and cellist lucas chabane, from the koninklijk conservatoruim brussels, a wire frame is an ensemble built from a need of furthering contemporary musics. highlighting underplayed and undershared work from international based composers and artists, a wire frame is structured around the true future of music and its relation to our past. with programs focused on microtonality, timbral research and collective shared momentary experience, the format heirloom ensemble intends to pursue is much more based on exposing listeners to sound in a way that may not have been perceived before. through reframing known pieces, techniques or even spaces and buildings, the music can transform from something written or dictated into something truly transversal
